The Healing Through Kindness and Service event will provide a space for the MSU community to come together both on and off campus on the anniversary of February 13, 2023. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to participate in kindness activities, either writing cards of support that will be attached to a Squishmallow and/or painting small tabletop rocks (made to replicate “The Rock”) to share or keep.

There will also be service activities available at the Hannah Center only, including packaging supply kits for local schools and youth-serving organizations, and decorating brown sack lunch bags for Kids Food Basket.

There will be reflective spaces at both locations, with resource lists and crisis counselors available.

Comfort foods will be served throughout the event, including mac ‘n’ cheese and allergen free options, cookies, fruit, snacks, and water.

A free shuttle will run in a continuous loop between the MSU International Center and the Hannah Community Center from 9:45am to 3pm, allowing participants to join and leave at times that are comfortable for their individual needs.
