We are excited to welcome you to the Spartan community and our local community. As you start a new year in your Spartan Journey, we invite you to join and support the local Lansing area community. This very special place is where you will study, work, and live for at least the 9 months of the academic year. Spartans ENGAGE and Spartans GIVE to the local community. The MSU Center for Community Engaged Learning and MSU Alumni invite you to participate in our 15th annual "Fill the Bus" event. We strive to give local students and families an equal start to the new year! When a K-12 student walks into the classroom with the basic supplies they need. they can focus on what really matters- learning!

 

Please consider donating new school supplies (ex. pack of crayons, pack of #2 pencils, pack of markers, notebooks, or folders) at the Center for Community Engaged Learning located in Suite 101 in the Student Services Building. You can also make a monetary donation online through our Crowd Power fundraising page link here.

 

All money raised and donations collected will be divided between three partners: the MSU Student Parent Resource Center, Lansing School District, and Edgewood Village Network Center. All supplies will be purchased based on each school district's and non-profit's ned and requested quantity, delivered, and shipped directly to local school districts and non-profit organizations focused on youth mentorship and education.

 

Examples include:

• $5: 3 notebooks and a pack of pens and pencils for a student OR 5 notebooks OR 10 packs of markers for the class.
• $10: 20 packs of colored pencils
• $20: A brand new kid-sized backpack
• $50: A brand new adult-sized backpack
