Hosted by The Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Celebration Planning Committee

Imagine a world where all children can see themselves in the pages of a book. Imagine a world where books can be windows to learn about other cultures, critical contributors to our world, and movements that have helped to shape our nation.

This year, the MSU Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration Planning Committee is hosting a virtual Stuff the Library event as a component of the week’s celebration.

Our goal is to raise awareness, promote books with a diverse representation of people and topics, and to get books into the hands of children in Ingham County ages 0-18, partnering with local schools and organizations.

You can be involved in several ways:

  1. Shop our Amazon Wishlist and books will be dispersed to local schools and organizations.
  2. Donate to our Crowd Power page and we will do the shopping for you!
  3.  Volunteer! Record a video of yourself reading a book that means something to you from our list, OR for longer books, read, review and recommend a book for older children via video.

A special thank you to members of the planning committee representing:

  • MSU Center for Community Engaged Learning
  • MSU Alumni Office
  • WKAR
  • MSU WorkLife Office
  • MSU Libraries
