University Health and Wellbeing Shares Election Carekit

Self care during an election year is important. According to a 2024 poll by the American Psychiatric Association, 73% of 2,200 adults surveyed said they are feeling anxious about the U.S. election. Members of the MSU community might be feeling a range of other emotions about the election (e.g., fear, helplessness, determination, numbness). All of these are valid, and staying mindful about these feelings can help Spartans better respond and take care of themselves.
This document is an Election Carekit provided by Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) through University Health and Wellbeing. The Carekit includes mindful strategies, coping tips, recommendations for free relaxation apps, advice for setting boundaries and building hope, and additional mental health and voting resources.
