CCEL Congratulates Annie Heseler, 2022 Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellow!

The Center for Community Engaged Learning congratulates Annie Henseler on her selection for the Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellowship Program. Henseler is pursuing a degree in elementary education with a minor in teaching English to speakers of other languages. She serves on the executive board for the MSU Tower Guard and advocates for equity and accessibility in education.

The Newman Civic Fellowship is a yearlong program that is reserved for students that display the utmost dedication to community and work towards positive change at and around their institutions. MSU President Samuel Stanley Jr. nominated Henseler for the fellowship, through which Campus Compact hopes to create a network of engaged student leaders across the nation. Fellows are provided with resources and trainings designed to help them develop strategies for social change.
