Partnering with TIAA, MSU Athletics and MSU Residential and Hospitality Services the MSU Center for Service-Learning & Civic Engagement will host a celebration of 50 years of partnership to honor the contributions of students, faculty, staff, and community partners on October 27, 2018. This celebration will emphasize attention on partners and their accomplishments in highly public spaces. The intent of this event is to celebrate the importance of service, engagement, and scholarship, and to recognize Champion Community Partners. Partners and their nominators will be recognized at a special reception at the Kellogg Center. Courtesy of MSU Athletics, recognized community partners will also be invited to attend the MSU vs. Purdue home football game where they will be highlighted publicly.

MSU's CSLCE is the oldest center in the nation of its kind, and recognizing that faculty, community partners, and students all make unique and valuable contributions to university-community partnerships, the center offered a recognition program with a simple nomination process and a broad structure for recognizing the largest and most diverse group of contributors. Nominations are intended to recognize the exemplary community engagement of faculty, staff and students, and their community partners. This effort is designed to recognize partnerships rather than individual projects.
