Background checks processing

In support of the Center for Community Engaged Learning's mission, Michigan State University runs a criminal background check on students who serve. You can learn more about this process here: Link.

Orientation to Community Engaged Learning

This online orientation is meant for students participating as part of a course. It is completed through D2L and takes students through the basics of safely entering community and being good stewards of the opportunity to serve. Faculty members can contact Stephanie Brewer, sbrewer@msu.edu, to enroll their students.

If you are a student who is interested in serving, but you are not part of a community-engaged academic course, please see our Looking to Volunteer page to learn more about the self-enroll D2L orientation and other general volunteer information.
