Ella McKanna (she/her) is a senior majoring in both Social Relations and Policy and Psychology. After graduation, she plans to attend law school in order to have a more hands-on role in the way the legal system affects the world around us. Her current ambitions are to increase community involvement within her own neighborhood and government, and she is beyond excited to return for her second year with the Community Engagement Scholars Program to help pursue those goals! Outside of the classroom, she is a captain for the MSU Mock Trial team, a Campus Vote Project Fellow, and this year’s Newman Fellow for Michigan State University. Over her time with these organizations, the scholars program, and being a student at MSU as a whole she has gained strong leadership capabilities as well as furthered her desire to help bring communities together.
