Social Relations & Policy

Conner Holguin (she/her) is a third-year student in the James Madison College, majoring in Social Relations & Policy, with a minor in Spanish. A graduate of Everett High School on Lansing’s Southside, Conner has been focused on community development and promoting positive systemic changes in marginalized communities. Thus far, Conner has had great mentors in her life shedding light on the world of social work, building up communities like the community that built her! Conner has worked with various organizations including The Village Lansing, Corporation for Supportive Housing, and Advancing Racial Equity and Advocacy (AREA) Fellowship in MSU’s Residential Colleges, giving her a wide-view perspective on systemic issues that targeted groups face, as well as sustainable, equitable solutions. In working with the Center for Community Engaged Learning, Conner hopes to build relationships with her peers, mentors, and community partners, all to create a more rounded education as graduation fast approaches. Conner is serving with Meta Peace Teams in Lansing this scholar year.
