Katie Heeder (she/her) is a rising junior who loves to question and analyze the workings of the world. She has grown up in East Lansing, Michigan her whole life and thoroughly enjoys attending college on the same streets she used to walk as a child. Outside of academics, Katie loves to run. She also spends time as a writing consultant at the MSU Writing Center, researcher, and is heavily involved with the Social Science Scholars Program. Katie just completed an internship with The Nature Conservancy's Legislative Affairs team in Washington, D.C. as a Demmers Scholar. She can't wait to begin her time with the Center for Community Engaged Learning! Katie is serving with Communities in School in Lansing this scholar year.
