The Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) is proud to support and advise four MSU registered student organizations (RSO) that focus on community engaged learning. These organizations operate in parternship with our Center and a variety of community parters locally, nationally and internationally.
MSU Alternative Spartan Breaks provides accessible, quality service opportunities, education about social issues, and exposure to diverse cultures and communities to promote the active citizenship of Michigan State University students. ASB focuses on weekend and spring break trips for the 2019-20 academic year.

MSU Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) offers free tax preparation services for persons with low- to moderate-income for MSU domestic and international students, as well as the greater lansing commuity. VITA's mission is to provide our clients with high quality and accurate tax services. To establish public trust, our volunteers are rigorously trained and tested to provide our clients with the greatest level of service. We provide our volunteers with leadership and practical experience, while instilling in them the values of professional and courteous behavior.
MSU Spartans Rebuilding Michigan (SRM) is designed to connect students willing to volunteer with organizations/groups throughout the greater Lansing community. SRM regularly hosts volunteer opportunities over the course of each semester and puts on fundraising events to benefit different organziations within our community. SRM's mission is to build a stronger community in Greater Lansing and among service-minded students at MSU.
MSU Design For America (DFA) is an interdisciplinary national network of students using the human-centered design process to tackle local, social issues. Students work with teams on semester-long projects focused on a specific problem space. DFA identifies issues in our community and works with community members to create ideas and concepts that address those challenges.
