Honors Option with a Community Engaged Learning Focus

The Honors College at MSU offers an Honors Option with a Community Engaged Learning Focus, in partnership with the Center for Community Engaged Learning. The option offers Honors College students the opportunity to earn honors credit while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience that benefits the community. Click here to learn more.

Orientation to Community Engaged Learning

This online orientation, completed through D2L, steps students through the basics of safely entering community and being good stewards of the opportunity to serve. Student Reflection Sessions

Transportation Assistance

In partnership with Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA), the Center for Community Engaged Learning provides free bus tokens to all students that participate in any of our community engaged learning opportunities.  Students are able to pick up bus tokens at our office located in the Student Services Building, Room 101 between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

Visit CATA website for bus route information. You will find information on all bus routes, stops, and schedules. You can also input your starting and ending location to have a map and bus schedule created for your trip.

TB (Tuberculosis) Test Information

Your community engagement partner may require you to complete a TB test before you can begin serving. Click here for information and instructions..
