America Reads/Counts Tutor
Role Overview
As an America Reads/Counts Tutor, you will work directly with K-12 students to help them improve their reading and math skills. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing support that helps students achieve academic success.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in classrooms during the school day or professional staff in after school programs
 - Develop engaging lesson activities
 - Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students
 
This role is perfect for anyone passionate about education and enjoys working with children.
Skills

 - Strong communication skills
 - Commitment to helping others
 - Experience in tutoring or working with youth is a plus but not required—training will be provided!

2. Register and attend the one of the following Fall 2025 orientations, where you learn about the program and complete the necessary hiring paperwork
- Tuesday from 11:00am-Noon (Virtual)
 - Wednesday from 11:30am-12:30pm (Virtual)
 - Friday 9:00-10:00am (Virtual)
