The Honor Roll highlights the role colleges and universities have in solving community problems. The President and the Corporation for National and Community Service recognizes institutions that achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes in the communities they serve.

To qualify for the President's Honor Roll, colleges and universities must participate in the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program and must meet the statutory 7% minimum FWS community service requirement for the most recent available school year.

Michigan State University was recognized for the Honor Roll with Distinction in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
