Campus Compact / AmeriCorps VISTA

Jaiden Suttles is the Center for Community Engaged Learning's Campus Compact/AmeriCorps VISTA serving with the America Reads/America Counts program. He focuses on capacity building, data-informed program improvement, and strengthening partnerships that support ARAC’s mission of expanding educational opportunities for K–12 students in Greater Lansing. By developing resources, supporting tutor mentorship, and collaborating with community partners, Jaiden is excited to help build sustainable systems that enhance the program’s impact.

Jaiden graduated from Michigan State University in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Law. During his undergraduate experience, he developed an interest in interdisciplinary approaches to community challenges, combining research, policy, and community engagement to better understand how organizations can create meaningful change. 

Jaiden is passionate about creating resources and partnerships that support students, tutors, and community organizations while addressing local educational needs. Outside of his work with CCEL, he enjoys engaging with music through playing guitar, attending live performances, and collecting records, CDs, and cassettes. He also enjoys fishing and exploring natural spaces throughout Michigan.
